We are passionate hosts, dedicated to giving our guests the very best experience. In many ways we are alike, and in others quite different. What brings us together is our personal approach to hospitality and, of course, our love of food.

One of Österlen’s finest nature experiences

Both of us are surrounded by the wonderful Österlen countryside, and it was this landscape that inspired us to create our Foodie Hikes – long before hiking became fashionable.

Here, the Skåneleden trail offers a pleasantly challenging 39-kilometre circular route known as the Österlen Circuit. It is ideal for a two-day hike with two overnight stays: one at Tastecelebration Residence and one at Drakamöllan Gårdshotell.

Along the way, sweeping heathlands, dramatic ravines, magnificent beech forests and the winding river Verkeån will surprise and delight the senses. This is a landscape that truly deserves its place in Skåne’s “Quietude” – the peaceful, silent side of Skåne.

The hike is suitable for everyone, including those who are not experienced hikers, as long as you allow yourself time to rest, take in the surroundings and simply enjoy being there.

A Foodie Hike comes with those little extras that make all the difference.

There is no need to carry heavy luggage. Your bags will be waiting for you when you arrive. All you need in your backpack is a delicious lunch and a few treats for a well-earned coffee break along the way.

We provide you with information for your hike, including a map and other useful details, suggestions for birdwatching apps and a few other things we think you might enjoy.

When you arrive, a lovely afternoon treat and a well-deserved beer await you – and at Drakamöllan, even a foot spa for tired feet.

And should something happen along the way – a sprained ankle, perhaps, or anything else that makes it impossible to continue – our pick-up service will come to the rescue.

Dinner is our chance to spoil you just a little more.

We cook with local ingredients in season and serve three courses – or perhaps more. It all depends on what inspires the kitchen that particular day.

At Drakamöllan, you can expect both meat and fish. At Tastecelebration Residence, the focus is on beautifully crafted, flavourful vegetable dishes that will appeal to devoted vegetable lovers and curious newcomers alike.

At both places, you can enjoy carefully chosen wines as well as exciting non-alcoholic alternatives.

After a day like this, we can almost guarantee you will sleep very well indeed!

And we take pride in making sure that the following morning’s breakfast gives you the best possible start for the next part of your hike.

Bring your dog along

Who wants to leave their best friend at home when setting off on such an exciting adventure?

Dogs are welcome at both Tastecelebration Residence and Drakamöllan. Just remember to book well in advance, as only a limited number of our rooms are available for guests travelling with dogs.

A Foodie Mug for every hiker – and a diploma

For us, sustainability is simply a matter of course. It is part of how we run our hotels and restaurants, and naturally it is part of the hiking experience too.

That is why we have created our own Foodie Mug. You take it with you on your hike and, afterwards, it is yours to keep as a little reminder of your adventure.

And just as walkers on the Pilgrim Trail can mark their achievement, we have created a diploma for our Foodie Hikers. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a little recognition after accomplishing something special?

Price per person sharing a double room: SEK 5,300. Single-room supplement: SEK 400.

Dogs are welcome at an additional charge of SEK 200 per night.
